Backyard Bragging Rights: How to Host a Neighborhood Tournament 🏆

Want to be the talk of your Queen Creek neighborhood? Move over, basic BBQs. It is time for a Your Lawn Game Olympics. Whether it’s a housewarming or a holiday weekend, a little competition goes a long way.

The Starting Lineup:

  1. Giant Connect 4: The perfect icebreaker. It’s visual, fast, and great for all ages.
  2. Cornhole: The classic. Set your boards exactly 27 feet apart from the front edges for offical rules. Modifications include 21 feet apart for beginners or kids, 15 feet apart for indoors, or 30+ feet apart for the advanced players (and dads!)
  3. Giant Jenga: The ultimate high-stakes finale. For those that do not know, Giant Jenga is an oversized version of the classic tabletop stacking game. It is designed for outdoor parties and lawn games. Players take turns removing one wooden block and placing it on top without the tower falling over. The best players can stack over six feet, causing competition and drama when it crashes.

Pro-Tip: Create a simple bracket on a poster board. The winner gets a trophy, giftcard, or place on the HOA board. (or just the first burger off the grill).
